Olusegun Obasanjo Nigeria's former president announced obstacles to the country's progress

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said at the AFC conference on May 16 that Nigeria could not make progress because successive governments failed to continue with good policies set by their predecessors.

Obasanjo spoke with others such as Charles Soludo and acting president Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja during a panel discussion on the AFC's 10 years, at the Infrastructure Summit.

President Obasanjo said that the continent could not develop because of the leadership of its leaders to stop the few things done correctly.

Lee Kuan Yew did not have his book" Third World to First World " Wrote and we wanted him to tell us how he did. We wanted to know the magic and Yew told us there was no magic.

"He said: there is no magic. We have done some things right and we continue to do it right. We in Africa have done some things right. Our problem is that we do not do it right .

"Many things are wrong about Africa, but some are right. We must continue to do the right things.
