According to him, the state and the Ijaw people lost the unique opportunity to attract development.

The Nation reported that the governor at the Ijaw House, Yenagoa, spoke during the annual celebration of their hero, Major Adaka Boroh, who fought and killed in the struggle for self-determination for the Ijaws.

Dickson, who was at the event with his deputy, John Jona, and members of his cabinet, said he and some others had suffered from the "Bayelsa-Ijaw disease of the withdrawal syndrome."

He discovered that at one time there was a devilish plot to withdraw him as Governor of Bayelsa

Dickson has complained that the scenario under Jonathan repeats him in the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, where ministers and designated people of the state refused to use their positions to assist its government's development efforts.

"It's true that we celebrate Boroh, but ask yourself if you're doing your little bit.
"Boroh came and saw his little thing done. I and my team came and we got the battle from where Boroh stopped and we do our duties.

"Each of us must investigate ourselves and to be honest, we did not do much serious investigation into this state and in the Ijaw nation.

"We can not blame God. God was very merciful and kind to us, especially late," he said.

He then laid wreaths in the grave of Boroh in the Heroes' Park in the presence of traditional rulers of the state.

NAIJ.com reported earlier that Reno Omokri, a former president, Goodluck Jonathan, published in a new book published by his aide, of those who conspired to ensure his defeat in the general election in 2015.

Jonathan specifically mentioned the former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, among others as one of the arrows of the move.
