Kwara state table tennis player slumps to die

- A player Kwara state sources table tennis, Timothy Abiara has collapsed and died while training at a table tennis hall

- The fault was playing against another die

- He left behind a wife and four children

Timothy Abiara, a former table tennis player, Thursday, March 31, collapsed and died while training in table tennis hall complex in Kwara State Stadium.

Abiara who died during a game with another player.

According to the report, the incident occurred when a sudden Abiara held his chest and started yelling.

However, those watching the game thought he was reacting to a lost point, and slow response.

Abiara were confirmed dead in Kwara State General Hospital where he was rushed to.

While reacting to the development, establishment Lagos, Kwara State Commissioner for Sports, described the situation as pathetic, even as he commiserated with the family of the deceased.

For his part, Director of Sports in Kwara state, Tunde Kazeem, described the situation Abiara death as a sad and unfortunate.

However, orders for other athletes to always launch regular medical checks.

Supernaij recalls that Abiara representing Kwara state in both 2011 and 2012 editions of the National Sports Festival in Port Harcourt and Lagos.

Abiara later, who hails from government in Oyo State, was a fashion designer by profession and is age 45.

He was survived by a wife and four children.
