An Ogudu Magistrates' Court in Lagos State,
Wednesday, sentenced a 20-year-old
undergrad, Innocent Onyeoziri, to three
a long time detain for taking telephones in one of
the Redeemed Christian Church of God branch
in Lagos.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. Sule-Amzat, sentenced
what's more, sentenced Onyeoziri, without a choice of
fine.
The undergrad, who lives on Adaranito
Road, Famous Bus Stop, Alapere in Ketu,
Lagos, had conceded blame.
Prior, the prosecutor, Sgt. Fortunate Ihiehie,
presented that Onyeoziri stole two telephones
worth N62,000 and a SIM card in a Redeemed
Christian Church of God area on Okunusi
Road, Alapere on Dec. 13, 2016.
Ihiehie said that the telephones had a place with Mr
Oluwasanmi Olukunmi and Mr A. Agbolade,
who revealed the case alongside one other
people, at the Alapere Police Post.
"On Dec 13, 2016 at 7.00p.m., the
complainants were at the Redeemed Christian
Church of God on Okunusi Street, Alapere for
evening administration.
"Amid the administration, Oluwasanmi was charging
his telephone and the other two
complainants – Jaiyeola and Agbolade.
"The blamed came into the congregation and took
the telephones of Oluwasanmi, expelled the SIM
card in the telephone of Jaiyeola and took the
Injoo telephone of Agbolade, and slipped off,'' he
said.
The prosecutor said that it took Jaiyeola a few
time to track the convict through the SIM card
he used to get broadcast appointment to the tune of
N30,000.
"On May 10, the blamed returned to the
church zone and was captured,'' Ihiehie said.
As indicated by the prosecutor, the offense
repudiated Section 285 of the Criminal Law
of Lagos State, 2015
