Fernando Torres has told the BBC that his
colleague Antoine Griezmann doesn't have to
move clubs in order to understand his full
potential. In the interview with Football Focus,
Torres says: "Where are you going to go to
enhance what you have in Atletico?" he said.
"Not many places on the planet. I trust he can
remain with us until the end of time."
Griezmann scored the equalizer last
end of the week's derby against Real Madrid, and
lined that up with the winner from the
punishment spot against Leicester in the
Champions League in mid-week, meaning his
officially soaring stock is higher than at any other time, with
bits of gossip about super offers from a few clubs, in
specific Manchester United, swirling around
the French international.
Be that as it may, Torres, back at his adolescence club, doesn't
see the requirement for Griezmann to take up the
plausibility of moving. "It's typical when youthful
players end up plainly one of the best on the planet,
everybody needs to sign them, you can go to
numerous other places on the planet yet they
cannot offer what Atlético can at this moment:
competing in the class, competing in the
Champions League, a standout amongst the most regarded
groups in Europe – so there is no motivation to
leave", said El Niño.
As Torres properly points out Atleti are
were in the Champions League final a year ago,
what's more, he played in the Euro final with France, so
it doesn't give the idea that being at Atleti is holding
Griezmann's profession back, however the winner's
decorations might be yet to come. "I think he
acknowledges that it is so hard to turn into
champion, however he is in that spot", said Torres,
"He has the world in his grasp."
