A report by the Sahara reporters on Sunday, April 30, said that President Muhammadu Buhari was so ill that he could not easily eat or drink comfortably.

The online news platform said in its report three different sources in the presidency confirmed this alleged sadness of the president's health.

They claim that the health of the president has worsened in recent weeks.

The president's British doctors allegedly sent a medical team at the Villa to advise him immediately advised to return to the UK to begin a complex and long term treatment to extend his life.

The cabinet in the Presidency, however, frustrated the president's trip on two different occasions, including the one scheduled for April 15.

The Sahara reporters said it had learned that pre-tension was sent to the United Kingdom by the presidency to wait for the president's arrival, but nothing happened.

It cited a source with knowledge of President Buhari's condition as alleging that there was a massive cover by the president's relatives to confuse the Nigerian public.

The source said: "They feel when he travels [President Buhari] abroad, they will lose the power and influence they wear when he is in town."

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, indicated how sick the president was when he said he had chosen from home to work.

Although he denied that it was a continuous development, his submissions caused concern among Nigerians.

Lai said he never said that President Muhammadu Buhari should work from now on.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, April 26, the minister said the report in a section of the media of his post-Federal Executive Council (FEC) briefing that the president should work at home right away, Is incorrect.

In the statement signed by his special adviser Segun Adeyemi, the minister said: "The president has just decided to finish home from home today, not having worked from home right away"
