The Bundesliga giants opened the scoring via a penalty kick by Robert Lewandowski in the 53rd minute.

Bayern's undoing occurred barely 5 minutes to the end of regulation time when Arturo Vidal was shown a second yellow card and was sent off; the game then proceeded into extra-time.

Real Madrid then dominated the whole night, Ronaldo scored twice and then Marco Asensio wrapped things up.

It ended Real Madrid 4-2 Bayern Munich, with Zinedine Zidane's men winning 6-3 on aggregates and are through to the semi-final.
