Supreme Court delivered the final ruling on Abia's government office.

There is uncomfortable calm in Abia state for today's ruling by the Supreme Court on Government Gazette

- The case was filed by Uche Ogah who accused Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of filing false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

- Supporters of both Ogah and the governor are in Abuja for judgment

All eyes are today in Nigeria's High Court on May 12, as the Supreme Court delivered the final ruling on Abia's government office.

Already, two-party supporters, members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), moved to Abuja, Daily Trust reports.

Recall that a federal high court in Abuja fired the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu from Abia on Monday, June 27, 2016, for allegedly filing unfair information to the PDP before the party's presidential election in December 2014.

Governor Ikpeazu will hope that judgment will be on its way
Judge Judge Okon Abang found guilty of tax crimes.

In another verdict on August 27, 2016, the Court of Appeal described the verdict of Justice Abang as an unfair service to democracy. I ordered Ipeazu, who went to appeal the Supreme Court's verdict, to retain his office.

The five-member panel of judges set aside the verdict of Justice Okon Abang. They unanimously agreed that the governor's tax documents are not false.

Then Ogah approached the Supreme Court where he prayed that the verdict of the High Court should be maintained.
Uche Ogah hopes he will get the mandate of the Abia people through the verdict of the Supreme Court
recently reported that a group called Abia Democratic Think Tank (ADT) claims that there is a plot to abandon Ogah on Abia people.

According to the group, the plot directly involves a Supreme Court judge and a South East Governor.

The group claimed that the plot that ultimately centers on money and marital relations is centered by the South East Governor as a backing to endorse two high-ranking APC personalities in government.
