A woman was rescued after been luck up for years

- A woman in a remote area in Brazil was imprisoned for 16 years by his own family

- Her father gets angry with her child, and locked her

- The baby is given away, and she lived in a damp, dark room with no toilet

News about Brazil came on a 36-year-old woman who was imprisoned by his own family for 16 years, and was rescued about two weeks ago.


Maria Lucia de Almeida Braga remained imprisoned all these years in a damp and dilapidated room only measured 3x3 meters. She was locked up when SGE in order to have a relationship with a man. Her father and brother, the son gave his to others.

The Almeida's mother was apparently in disagreement with locking her, but she could not make its voice heard. She from phychological problems then and is now bedridden.

The woman's brother, 48-year-old Joao de Almeida Braga, is charged given by the police and will be an 8-year prison sentence. He and his father put her in the room with no light, electricity toilet, and she WS always naked.

After receiving an anonymous tip, police went looking for her and found her at the room in a remote area outside the village of Uruburetama in Brazil.

They said the room smelled awful, because of the urine and feces on the floor. It has no electricity and the only light was from the window, which cruelly held and closed most of the time. Police also told her about in excitement ran them when they finally managed to break seven locks so that she is getting.

The brother or father Maria Lucia two meals a day. She was very thin when police found her, but now apparently weight and learn to speak and write again.

Authorities searched her son, and had already identified him. They arrange for a quick reunion.
