- The PDP calls on President Buhari to step down to give the nation the embarrassment to finish work from home

- The party says it's a big abuse of office for the president to resign himself from office

- The PDP demands that Buhari's health condition be disclosed so that Nigerians can evaluate

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) urged President Mohammedu to thank honestly if his health could not bear him anymore.

The party called on Buhari to obey his counsel to the then President, Musa Yar'Adua, to set the nation to embarrass to finish home.

The information secretary of the party, Mr. Ini Ememobong, the call by the Akwa Ibom civil servant, Tuesday, May 2, said it was a serious abuse of office for the president to resign him permanently from office.

The head of the PDP has asked that a medical council be instituted to investigate and report the true state of Buhari's health so that informed comments and decisions about his seat occupation can be implemented.

PDP says it's a big misuse of President Buhari's office to abandon him permanently from office.
"If the framework of the constitution the president wanted to finish from home, they could have said so. Therefore, there is a delineation between the office and the house. One of the conditions expected of someone who is for the Office of the President running is physically and mentally healthy.

"So if the president is incapable of attending two Federal Executive Council meetings, how is the country? He was incapable of attending a critical event like the May celebration where all the workers expected him to address them Issues that are bound to their well-being, this is something disturbing.

"So PDP, as a party, has a great respect for the president and his office. We do not intend to repay them in the same currency they have paid us. But because karma is involved and what a He's gonna be boring, he's going to reap. We only ask the president to give the advice he gave to the Federal Executive Council on Yar'Adua. He knows what the position is. He should take his advice if he advises the Federal Executive Council To determine the health of Umar Yar'Adua. We do not say anything new. We just say: Prophet, heal yourself, "the party said.

The PDP called Nigerians to remind Buhari of his advice to Yar'Adua. He added that the president should resign honorablely if his health can not bear him or tell Nigerians the true position of his health so that they can evaluate.

Meanwhile, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to seek further treatment if it will restore his healthy health and help manage the country's affairs.

The CAN president, Rev. Samson Olasupo, gave advice by means of a communiqué issued on Tuesday, May 2, by his special media assistant, Pastor Bayo Oladeji, during the just-admitted 104th annual session of the Nigerian Baptist Convention held in Abuja .

The Christian body wondered why the health status of the president would be kept in secrecy, especially with the lack of openness to tell Nigerians that he was in need of medical attention.
