Governor Ifeanyi Okowa maintained that Hausa / Fulanis is responsible for most abduction in the state

- The Delta Governor said his administration did a lot to reduce collisions between shepherds and local indigenous people

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, maintained that Hausa / Fulanis is responsible for most abductions recorded in the state.
Okowa on Wednesday, May 17, declared the statement at a city hall meeting in Effurun, Uvwie's local government state.

The Delta State Governor, represented by Edwin Uzor, his Special Advisor for Rural Development and Peace Building, said his administration had done much to limit the clashes between shepherds and local indigenous people to the utmost.

He said: "There would have been many more murders but for our consultations. Most of the abduction in the state is committed by the Hausa / Fulani in comparison to some of our people."
Governor Okowa, his deputy and other senior government officials from a project in Sapele, was outraged.

It is alleged that the governor is prevented from the function of the burglary of the project by Mr. Igbuya, the Speaker, recently charged with the state legislature.

The extinct speaker led a tire of thugs and invaded the venue before hunting the governor and his entourage.
