Prostitution in Kenya's Mombasa have staged a protest over the death of their colleague who visited a hotel with a customer.

According to crime alerts, the body of the deceased was found over the weekend by the janitors in the room he had slept with his guests.


His colleagues held placards with the inscriptions, 'sex workers: Do not kill them,' sex workers 'right to live', 'sex workers: their support'.

Jacob Kanake, a director for the Mombasa Criminal Investigation Department mentioned that the investigation into the murder.

He revealed that efforts are being made to apprehend suspects believed to be responsible for the death of the deceased.
