High caliber political struggle to join APC

All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Lawal Shuaib said the high caliber of Nigerians are coming to join the party because it has continued to wax very strong control.

That the PDP chieftain further urged Nigerians who are castigating the current administration to use a little patience to hear President Mohammad Buhari who will soon roll out many achievements recorded within two years.

The claim was made by the PDP National Vice Chairman (North), Senator Lawal Shuaibu, when it played host to the Taraba State chapter of the party in Abuja national secretariat.

He maintained that no degree of rivalry between the party would threaten the ability of the APC.

Shuaibu said: "I want to assure Nigerians that PDP is still very strong regardless of the internal wrangling. We know that we are fighting but why is it that in spite of the internal crisis people are still struggling to APC.

"They are not just anybody on the street but eminent Nigerians and even elected into public offices.

"What it means is that people still have faith on APC and also see it as the formidable party that can change what we met in 2015.

"The changes mantra is still on course and lots of people out there who are struggling to be part of the change and part of history.

"I want us to continue to be one. We are experiencing infighting because we do not know the spirit in which the broom was registered.

"This shows the unity and broom if we cut the rope binding the broom together, everything will loose. I do not see our internal conflicts as a threat to the power of the party. We are not going to the vacuum release.

"We have already set up a committee to visit our state to reconcile all the feuding groups. We also all National Working Committee into a reconciliation committee to resolve any misunderstandings between the national level.

"I want to urge you to continue to be a little more patient. I want to emphasize that the game will be in many ways with safety and the ability to feed our families.

"Yes, the game may not necessarily come into individual pockets but like all interest to the whole community. It is not going to be so fast but slowly."

"The president promised the nation that on the day you want to watch two years in office, tremendous achievements have been recorded. If even before he opens his mouth, he would start feeling themselves . Let us give him the benefit of doubt.

"Let the reader that we have started working and before May 29, when we will hear the presidential broadcast, we would have seen the tangible achievements already recorded," he quipped.
