GCE registration begins today, April 28

The West African Examination Board, WAEC, has announced that registration for the General Certificate Examination (GCE) 2017 for private candidates starts on Friday 28 April.

It was announced via the official tweeter management of the examining body, @waecnigeria.

It reads: "It is to inform prospective candidates for the WASSCE for private candidates 2017 that the registration begins Friday this week.

"Candidates are required to pay a registration fee of thirteen thousand, nine hundred and fifty naira N13,950 at any of the approved bank or any accredited agents to obtain the registration pen and information VCD.

"Normal registration period is from Friday 28 April to 28 June. After you have obtained a registration pin, you must apply at www.waeconline.org for registration.

"Candidates should also note that the registration procedure is designed to accommodate biometric features that will be used for the validation at the examination center.

"Candidates who wish to register for the examination after the closing of enrollments can be accommodated as" graduate candidates ", provided that they register for 24 hours at the beginning of the paper (s) they plan to write.

"The" Entry fee "is twenty five thousand naira, N25,000."
