Four Suspected Cultists Killed In Ilorin In Opened Fire Gun Battle




Rival cult group  occupied with gun fight on the 

Street of Ilorin, Kwara State capital amid 

which four men were supposedly murdered. 

Vanguard gathered that few shops and 

homes around Baboko,Osere,Ikokoro zones of 

Ilorin where the weapon battle occurred had been 

under bolt since Thursday night when the 

occurrence happened as shop proprietors and 

inhabitants dreaded being hit by stray shots. 

A comparable episode had happened around the 

same Ikokoro zone in 2016 after a suspected 

religion part, Wasiu Adanri, was killed. 

Sunday Vanguard sources said the Thursday 

night's firearm battle began after one of the 

casualties, basically recognized as 'Monastery', was shot 

dead around Ikokoro region. 

The unidentified shooters, accepted to be of a 

match clique group,were said to have raged the 

region at around 7.45pm and professedly went 

straight to the flat of the casualty and 

shot a few weapon slugs at him. 

The casualty, who was professedly affirmed dead 

by his executioners before they cleared out, was said to have 

been an individual from a religion. 

The partners of the casualty, in a response 

assault, were said to have trailed the attackers 

to Baboko and Osere regions of Ilorin, on Friday, 

connecting with them in firearm battle till yesterday 

morning, amid which three others were 

professedly shot dead. 

Reached, police advertising officer, Ajayi 

Okasanmi, in any case, affirmed that just a single 

life was lost in the faction conflict.
