Federal Government summons Indian High Commissioner attacks on Nigerian Students in India

The federal government, the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Nagabashana Reddy called on the recent attacks on Nigerian students in the country. Remember that gained some Nigerian students on Monday serious injuries after a group of locals attacked in Pari Chowk, Noida.




The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sola Enikanolaiye who called for the meeting, expressed dissatisfaction over the recent attacks.


This is not the first time that this would happen; Nigerians have suffered similar attacks in the past; however, we would like to see that on this occasion is that the offender must be arrested. And we want to see zealous prosecution so that it will serve as a deterrent to those who think they can take laws into their hands and harass students about their studies "he said

The Indian High Commissioner apologized for the attacks and said the Indian government concrete steps to address the incident took and promised that those who would commit the act to face the law in the face.

"The government is determined to see that justice is done" the High Commissioner said
