Breaking News:prof Babalola Borishade, Ex-minister Just Died In London




Abuja – Prof Babalola Borishade, 71, previous Nigerian Minister of education  is dead. He kicked the bucket in London on Wednesday after a short disease. 

He was at first hurried to Reddington Hospital in Lagos, a week ago from where he was taken to London. The reason for death was lung and heart –related. 

Borishade was conceived in Usi-Ekiti on March 7, 1946 into the Ebi Ilotin family.

He filled in as a pastor for four times, between 1999-2011. The electrical designer was additionally an educator and a political strategist. 

Between February 2001 and May 2003, he filled in as the Minister of Education. 

In acknowledgment of his commitments to Education in Nigeria, Africa and the World everywhere, Borishade was chosen the Vice-Chairman of the E9 Group of the United Nations, President of the UNESCO International Conference on Education, and also Chairman Education for All (EFA) Forum of African Ministers of Education. 

In 2004, Borishade was delegated as Minister of State, Power and Steel. 

He started the 'Gas to Power Project (G2P), a World Bank supported venture intended to guarantee managed gas advancement and accessibility for power creation to meet Nigerian power requests. 

Between July 2005 and November 2006, Borishade was Minister of Aviation, amid which a Civil Aviation Bill was passed to supplant the 1964 Act and the non-stop flight amongst Nigeria and the United States of America was reestablished. 

His introduction of different changes and advancement in the flying segment brought about Nigeria scoring 93 for each penny in the ICAO Universal Audit which made Nigeria a benchmark to African Aviation Industry.
